What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you place an order, not when you download a free trial. When ordering, as appropriate, you will be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address and credit card information by one of our established credit card processing vendors. We also store your name and email address in our licensing vendor's database. This information helps you identify yourself when you need to make a change to your license.
How do we protect your information?
We have chosen vendors who implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server that is owned by a major credit card processing company. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into the previously mentioned credit card payment gateway provider's database, only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, who are required to keep the information confidential. Before, during and after your transaction, your critical financial information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will not be stored on any StopWatch servers.
What do we use your information for?
Our credit card processing vendor uses it to process your purchase, and our license key vendor users your email address and name to identify you as a legal license owner. Therefore, your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, with or without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested. The email address you provide to us will be also used to send you an email containing your license key. Your email will only be used to send you the license key, customer support tickets, information and updates pertaining to your order, or to protect your security if there should ever be a virus or malware exploit involving StopWatch.
Do we use cookies?
Yes. We might choose to use cookies to identify you when you come back to purchase our product after your successful free trial. We do this to pay the website who referred you to us. We currently use a different system than cookies, but our current system and cookies are both viable ways to notify and pay the website owner who helped you find StopWatch. So, show them our gratitude by rewarding them with a percentage of our sales.
